Triple Injury Scare For Arsenal Ahead Of Crunch United Clash

Manchester United will meet with Arsenal as they travel to the Emirates Stadium in London to take on the resurgent Gunners at the weekend. The home side emerged winners in the reverse fixture the last time out at Old Trafford with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring the only goal of the game to hand the London club all three points.

With both clubs currently enjoying a fine run of form in the Premier League, the match is expected to be a tough tie and serious battle spanning across all departments right from the defenses to the attack.

While Mikel Arteta’s men sealed a 3-1 win away from home at the Saint Mary’s stadium after coming from behind to rescind a one-goal deficit against Southampton on Tuesday, Olé Gunnar Solksjær and his players will be welcoming Sheffield United to Old Trafford hoping to clinch a win so they can return to the summit of the Premier League table.

The Southampton – Arsenal game in the league started on a similar fashion to the last meeting between both clubs last weekend where the Gunners were eliminated by Ralph Hasenhüttl’s men after Stuart Armstrong gave the home side an early lead. However, the brilliant Bukayo Saka, alongside Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette all found the back of the net to ensure that the Gunners left the Southampton ground with all three points.

Arsenal will be hoping to put in another excellent performance as they welcome a revived United side to London but may have to head into the match without the presence of three key players.

Kieran Tierney was absent in the two matches against Southampton as he is still nursing his calf injury, while both Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe were brought off on Tuesday night during the Southampton clash.
