LIVERPOOL EYEING THIRD CONSECUTIVE LEAGUE WIN

Liverpool are eyeing a third straight win in the Premier League ahead of their Merseyside Derby clash with Everton this weekend. The Reds are guests of their Merseyside rivals in the first game of the sixth set of games as far as the Premier League this season is concerned. Liverpool have been able to recover from a poor start in the league and they are now chasing a third successive win.

German tactician JurgenKlopp and his Liverpool players didn’t have the best of starts in the Premier League this seasonafter they failed to win any of their first three games. They have since won two straight games since then and have their focus on achieving a third straight win against Everton on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool began the season with a 2-2 draw at Fulham who are one of the three newly promoted sides in the Premier League. Apart from the Cottagers, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth also gained promotion to the Premier League from the English Championship. Merseyside giants Liverpool were massive favourites to secure the three points at stake against Fulham. In the end, they could not get the three points on offer as they had to recover from a goal down twice to secure one point from the game. New signing Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah were the goalscorers against home team Fulham.

Colombian star Luis Diaz was the recipient of the only Liverpool goal in the 1-1 draw at home to London team Crystal Palace. Liverpool finished the Palace game with a man down after Nunez was sent off.

Liverpool were beaten 2-1 by arch rivals Manchester United in their third league game of the new season. Since the defeat to United, Liverpool have beaten Bournemouth 9-0 at home and Newcastle United 2-1 at home. Young Fabio Carvalho scored the winning goal in stoppage time during the game against Newcastle United.
